I grew up in Aksaray, a small town where my days were a mix of school, family, and finding ways to feed my curiosity. I spent hours tinkering with small projects, reading books I could find, and asking endless questions about how things worked. My world was small, but I always felt the pull to explore something bigger.

When I moved to Istanbul to attend Kabataş Erkek High School, everything changed. Istanbul was the "something bigger" I had always sought. The city was overwhelming at first—its scale, its pace, and its sheer variety of people and places. But it didn’t take long for me to feel excited by it all. I loved wandering through streets that seemed to tell stories of their own and watching ships glide along the Bosphorus as if they were crossing not just continents but time itself. Every corner of the city had something new to show me, and I couldn’t get enough of it.

This new environment shaped how I approached everything. I started noticing connections between different ideas, between what I was learning and what I saw around me. My interests—whether in science, music, or history—felt less like separate pursuits and more like pieces of the same puzzle. The more I explored, the more I wanted to connect the dots between everything I was experiencing.

My hobbies are the lifeblood of my curiosity, each adding a vibrant note to my life. Music is where I lose and find myself, whether playing piano for hours, exploring classical compositions, or diving into genres like jazz and rock. Art captivates me, especially the emotive works of Klimt and Van Gogh, which I revisit in galleries. Traveling fuels my soul, from tracing Ottoman architecture to marveling at Gaudí’s surreal, nature-inspired designs. Philosophy challenges my mind with questions of Stoic resilience, epistemology, and ethics. History fascinates me—the revolutions that shaped nations, the evolution of democracy, and the transition from the late Ottoman to early Republic era. Even science, though academic, feels like a creative hobby, where I blend theories and refine ideas like the Sznajd model. Together, these passions form a dynamic web of exploration, making life endlessly rich.

In time, I came to see that I was as vibrant and intricate as my interests and thoughts: a fusion of Aksaray and Istanbul, East and West, calm and dynamic. The contrasts of my journey didn’t pull me apart—they wove me together. The quiet curiosity of my small-town beginnings merged with the boundless energy of the city, creating a harmony where opposites didn’t clash but completed one another. Like the places I’ve called home, I am both rooted and restless, a mosaic of simplicity and complexity, tradition and innovation, finding balance in the interplay of these worlds.
