Orbital Decay Potential of the Hot-Jupiter Type Exoplanet WASP-43b
This ongoing study examines the orbital decay and transit timing variations (TTVs) of WASP-43b, a hot Jupiter exoplanet with an exceptionally short orbital period. By analyzing light curves from TESS, ETD, and literature, the research investigates the effects of tidal interactions on the planet’s orbital stability. Using advanced statistical tools and probabilistic models, the study aims to provide the most up-to-date insights into WASP-43b’s dynamics and contribute to the understanding of exoplanetary systems.
